Present and Past Participles as Adjectives: "Bored" vs "Boring"

ये दो वाक्य बहुत अलग अर्थ रखते हैं:
I am boring. (मैं दूसरों में boredom पैदा करता/करती हूँ।)
I am bored. (मुझे boredom feel हो रहा है।)
इन्हें कन्फ़्यूज़ करने से embarrassing mistakes हो सकती हैं। अगर आप “I am bored” कहना चाहते हैं लेकिन “I am boring” कह देते हैं, तो आप खुद को uninteresting describe कर रहे हैं।
यह article present participles (-ing) और past participles (-ed) को adjectives की तरह उपयोग करने का पूरा rule समझाता है।

Rule: -ing = feeling cause करता है। -ed = feeling experience करता है। Things आमतौर पर -ing लेती हैं। People -ed लेते हैं जब वे बताते हैं कि वे कैसा feel करते हैं, और -ing जब वे दूसरों पर अपना effect बताते हैं।
